Drummers talk! When a new practice studio comes along we all ask about the drum kits. More often than not the chat is the "kit is crap", "I wouldn't pay to play there" or "the place is cheap but the gear is falling apart" That is the responses to a recent study I carried out with your potential customers

Running a venue or running a rehearsal studio does not qualify you as a drum technician.

Do you ask an electrician to sort your plumbing, or ask a window cleaner to sort your car?

Why do you ask a sound engineer to sort your drums? or get a guitar technician to look after them?

I am a drummer and an engineer.  I can advise you on your drum equipment.  My intentions are to ensure that your gear is ready to perform.

Professionally tuned drums makes the difference

Service, maintenance repairs all carried out by a qualified engineer and a drummer

We can make a deal that suits your venue and needs

I have played the drums for over 30 years.  I have used budget kits through to professional gear.  I have used studios and rehearsal spaces in Edinburgh regularly for the past 5 years as well as playing in most venues in and around the Central Belt area. I lived in Germany for 10 years and regularly used rehearsals and studios in Hamburg, Hanover, Berlin.  In Germany equipment was regularly maintained to a high standard whether it was a house kit in a club, a  rehearsal space or a studio.

I have trained in a number of Engineering disciplines such as measurement and control but also in automotive and mechanical engineering. I have repaired heavy machines, maintained and serviced engines. fabricated components, machined tools and replaced parts as needed.

I have constantly repaired and maintained my own kit and many friends as a hobby.  I have been able to use my knowledge as a drummer with my expertise as an engineer to repair parts and components.

Drum kits

Often venues have decent drum kits they just do not know how to look after them properly. Often a quick fix is poorly done and reneders a good piece of equipment second rate  Poorly maintained drum parts on a great kit means your going to get poor sound and poor reviews
